Catholic and Orthodox Churches Join to Promote Family Internet Safety

How does a parent make sense of the Internet world their children are drawn into at a very early age?   To help families guide their children the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America have joined to support a new site   The site emphasizes the positive use of technology in ways that are safe for children.  There are sister sites on Twitter and Facebook.

The site includes tips for family use of media and family discussion of media content as well as tips for safety and resources that may help families grow stronger.  They have an interesting section on Family Media Agreements, a tool for clarifying and setting expectations about behavior on-line.

The site is funded by a grant from the Catholic Communication Campaign, which is supported by Catholics across the United States.
