Kids 2-11 watch an average of 113 hours of television a month. They spend an additional 38 hours a month in front of other screens such as game systems, Internet, and DVDs. This makes them less likely to play outside and more prone to using multiple technologies at the same time. The information is in the the new weekly version of Variety, “The On Demand Generation” compiled by Alessandra Olanow.
The big news in the survey: 80% of kids 2-11 say they want to spend more time with their parents and 90% say their parents are their greatest heroes.
